Why we added this to our line: Polyester (Mylar) is the only material approved by the Library of Congress for permanent archival storage. We manufacture our Polyester sleeves and uphold a quality of manufacturing excellence that is not often seen. We use DuPont inert Melinex or a suitable equivalent. Polyester is as clear as glass, extremely sturdy and acid-free. If you want to put your comics in the safest, indefinite storage sleeve – Polyester is the “clearest” choice. We chose to make these sleeves with our 2” beaded flap closure. This design allows enough room to handle inserting the different thickness of Treasury comics as well as both DC and Marvel editions
