If you’re interested in storing your records in the safest storage boxes possible, we stock two styles that are made from an acid-free board.

Not only is the board acid-free, but it is also lignin-free and buffered. Lignin is a material that is found in wood pulp that is naturally acidic, so when it is removed from the pulp, the board becomes acid-free.Buffering is added to the material after the board is made. The buffering is usually made of calcium carbonate. What the buffering does is prevent airborne pollutants from entering the box material, actually blocking the contaminants from affecting the items stored in it.
