This is the first I’ve seen these lovely 19th century trade cards. They beautifully advertise “cures” for human ailments. They were so beautifully rendered they were cherished and saved in scrapbooks.

The False Advertising of Sophistically Decorated, 19th-Century Pharmaceutical Trade Cards

These skillfully and elaborately designed cards were distributed by merchants to their customers in the late 19th century. When you think of bunions, and warts, the image of a blooming red rose may not immediately come to mind.

Paper collectible are best kept stored in sleeves and acid-free boxes to protect them and safeguard their longevity. Use  archival sleeves and boxes for that.
